Empowering the
Next Generation
Through Technology
Tech A Child equips students with digital skills, tools,
and opportunities to thrive in a technology-driven world.
About The "Tech A ChilInitiative
The Tech A Child Project is an educational and digital empowerment initiative by Ultratech ICT Ltd focused on equipping children and teenagers with practical technology skills needed for the modern world. The project was created to bridge the digital gap in schools and communities by introducing students to digital literacy, innovation, problem-solving, and emerging technologies from an early age. Its mission is to prepare young people for the future by giving them access to quality technology education, hands-on learning experiences, and modern digital tools that can help them succeed in an increasingly technology-driven society.
Through the Tech A Child Project, students are introduced to various areas of technology including coding, software development, robotics, STEM education, artificial intelligence, digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, UI/UX design, and other practical computer skills. The project emphasizes experiential learning, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with technology tools and real-world applications rather than relying solely on theoretical knowledge. By doing so, students are better equipped with the skills, creativity, and confidence needed to thrive in the digital age.
The project also supports schools through the setup and upgrade of ICT laboratories and modern learning environments. This includes providing computers, digital learning infrastructure, smart classroom solutions, and robotics or STEM kits such as Arduino-based learning tools that enable interactive and practical learning experiences. In addition, the initiative offers EdTech consultancy services to schools by assisting with technology integration strategies, teacher training, digital curriculum support, and guidance on implementing sustainable ICT education systems.
Beyond classroom learning, the Tech A Child Project organizes workshops, bootcamps, coding competitions, innovation challenges, career talks, and digital skills events aimed at inspiring and exposing students to opportunities within the technology industry. These activities help students develop critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, and innovation skills while also encouraging interest in future technology careers.
The project addresses major challenges facing many schools and young people today, including limited access to modern technology, outdated computer education systems, and insufficient exposure to emerging digital skills. By creating opportunities for students, teachers, and schools to engage meaningfully with technology, the Tech A Child Project contributes to building a generation of digitally empowered African youths capable of competing globally, creating innovative solutions, and contributing positively to national and continental development.
